We are engaging with local housing developer Stirling Development on their Biodiversity Enhancement Action Plan for the approved 2000 Kingswood Dunfermline extension development across the road from our villages which will impact our community and local biodiversity hugely. This is in the context of the new National Planning Framework 4 which proposes more focus on biodiversity and community in planning, and part of our local biodiversity monitoring project. Many are interested in how this will work between our community and the developer and we are developing a case study. We are delighted to be working with Stirling Developments in partnership with CLP Community Council and Planning Democracy to work towards the best example of Biodiversity Enhancement seen in a development since the NPF4 policies came into place in Scotland.
